This new single-axis stepper motor control driver IC with serial communication interface can be externally expanded MOSFETs, each coil motor current up to 20A, the maximum voltage of 60V DC
It is very simple to use, just need the target location. All stepper motor logic runs inside TMC5160 - when driving NEMA17 to NEMA34 and larger motors, no software is required, just hardware is used. Connected to the host microcontroller via the industry standard SPI or step/direction interface, TMC5160 performs all real-time position and speed step motion calculations. The TMC5160 also supports ABN encoder input
