4) what is the protocol conversion? What is the full version?
The so-called protocol conversion and the full version, is more than 1 internal simulator 14P pin.
Protocol conversion for 1149.1 to 1149.7 JTAG protocol conversion. Some emulators (such as XDS510) do not support 1149.7, and protocol conversion is required. When XDS510 uses the 1149.7 protocol, it is necessary to insert XDS510's gray line into the XDS100V3 circuit board. XDS100V3's gray line is connected to the target board, that is to use 2 emulators and 2 USB lines at the same time, so that we can debug the target board. But XDS510 is a very old emulator. The chips that support are far less than the XDS100, and the software only supports CCS V4.12, and the later software is not supported.
All the XDS100V3 firmware support protocol conversion, but the sellers do not provide the 14P pin!! Because it is a chicken ribs function, almost no one uses it.
