VL53L3CX V2/Range sensor
VL53L3CX is ST's latest time-of-flight (ToF) product and embeds ST's third-generation FlightSense patented technology. It combines high-performance proximity and ranging sensors, with multi-target distance measurement and automatic trace correction functions. The miniature reflowable package integrates a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) array and a physical infrared filter to achieve the best ranging performance under various ambient lighting conditions, and is equipped with various cover glass windows. VL53L3CX combines high-performance proximity sensor points, excellent short-distance linearity, and distance measurement capabilities up to 3m. With the patented method and clever module structure, VL53L3CX can also detect different objects in the FoV through in-depth understanding. The histogram algorithm of STMicroelectronics allows the interference immunity of the cover glass to exceed 80cm, and has the function of dynamic smudge compensation.
