Description This is our BlackBerry trackball breakthrough board. The four spindle trackballs have a small round magnet at the end; each of these paired SMD Hall effect sensors is used to measure the up, down, left and right movement of the trackball. A patch momentary switch is placed on the trackball to give you a selection switch. The button will be pulled down when the switch is pressed.
The trackballer also includes 4 LED lights: red, blue, green and white. These clear trackballs can be light in any color you can imagine.
All functions are broken with a 0.1" pitch head. 2.5-5.25vdc power adjustment, must provide power Hall sensor. Trackball attached with strong calcium glue. The board is shown in the picture, and all components are filled.
The combination of Hall effect sensor and trackball is surprisingly sensitive. A slight roll of the trackball will create multiple high/low transition four-axis pins, easily picking up any microcontroller and basically adding a mouse to your project to choose from.
