The leveling base is fixed between the tripod and the head and is used in combination with tripods which do not have integrated leveling mechanisms.
The three adjustment dials allow the operator to make fine adjustments of the fingertip up to /- 10 degrees to ensure that the camera is perfectly level.
The dials also have locking rings to provide stability once the correct position is reached.
The base has a 3/8 inch female tripod fitting and a 3/8 inch male head fitting.
